Surgical chin augmentation is a surgery typically performed under IV sedation or general anesthesia in the operating room. It has a recovery time that can last for 2 weeks or more associated with some bruising, swelling, or pain.
Liquid chin augmentation offers a great, non-surgical alternative to surgical chin augmentation. A liquid chin augmentation offers similar results that are temporary with little to no downtime.
What is Liquid Chin Augmentation?
Liquid chin augmentation involves the injection of a dermal filler into specific areas of the chin to reshape the area. The material most commonly used is Juvéderm Voluma, which is a dermal fillers that is FDA approved for midface augmentation but may be used in an “off label” fashion for chin augmentation amongst other areas. It typically lasts for at least 2 years.
